All the sizes listed below are the measurements of the chainmail, not the wearer. Chain often offers a tighter fit that expected; so, we recommend getting dressed up in all the costume you will be wearing beneath your chain (shirt, gambeson and jerkin) and then taking your measurements to ensure a more accurate fit.
Chest width is measured by putting on your under layers then taking a measurement across the back of the chest, from beneath one armpit to the other.
We know the cheaper prices are tempting. But, don't skimp on the sizing. The small sizes are very small!

Note: The Royal Captain Chainmail Shirt is stored oiled. When first using the chain you will need to thoroughly wipe it down with an old cloth to take off the excess oil.
Chainmail requires extra care to ensure it stays in good condition and is stored correctly. Read our LARP Chainmail Maintenance, Storage and Repairs article here.
