Inspired by the legendary weapons from the Star Wars stories, these lightsaber blades are made of ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) foam surrounding a glass fibrecore like traditional LARP weapons. This means that you can use these lightsabers for full contact weapon fighting with very little risk of injury. The handles are made from a firmer polyurethane foam, equipped with a threaded joint providing you with the opportunity to change up your blade colour of choice, or even just wear the handle on your belt, attaching the blade when you're ready to fight.
This weapon uses a threaded attachment system to be used with a polyurethane crossguard and pommel, meaning that it doesn't meet the safety standards required at most LARP systems. Please see below for more details.

These 'Lightsaber Blade' weapons are not suitable for most UK LARP systems. The threaded fitting is typically deemed unacceptable and the Lightsabre Handles are made from polyurethane foam. The polyurethane is more durable than standard foam and latex constructions, but harder than traditional LARP weapons. The blade is still made from traditional soft foam and latex.
Please bear this in mind and check the safety rules for your LARP system carefully before purchasing. Returns will not be accepted for weapons that do not pass individual weapons check requirements. These do not pass safety at the Lorien Trust, Curious Pastimes or Profound Decisions events.
However, they are still excellent for cosplay, theatrical and film purposes and some LARPs.

This is a fantastic option if you have young ones who are regularly fighting with their plastic lightsabers. Prevent unnecessary bruises and broken fingers with this much softer alternative.
PLEASE NOTE - This product only includes the blade. You will need to purchase a Lightsaber Handle in order to use your product.

All latex-coated weapons need a certain degree of maintenance. For this we recommend using maintenance silicone, which can be purchased separately in the 'Weapon Maintenance & Repair' section.
'Larp Inn Weapon Lube - Silicone Spray' is an easy, spray-on application, 100% pure and acid-free making it safe to apply. We recommend using silicone on a regular basis. It maintains the latex-coat’s flexibility and prevents it from drying out, keeping the product wear and tear resistant.
Store your latex weapons flat or on its pommel - NEVER on its tip. Use a simple sheet or towel lining to prevent it from touching a plastic or rubber surface to prevent your weapon from adhering to other products. Keep your weapons in a cool, dry environment.
